'Tailgaters Die First," his bumper sticker would read

Dear editor,
I have driven a full size pick-up truck for work for many years and have often thought about a bumper sticker that may help reduce one of many traffic hazards.

Driving in the early morning hours I had found some cars approaching me from the rear and suddenly could not see their headlights in my rear view mirror but could see the lights glow off to my sides. I wanted to find out just how far behind me when the headlights deciphered from view.  I found that they would have to have been within five feet of my bumper and traveling at highway speeds.

People don’t realize just how dangerous tailgating is. I was traveling at 65 mph when I saw traffic cones ahead and dropped my speed by five mph to a rate of 60. I suddenly felt a bump from the rear and found that a young woman had tried to drive under my bumper pealing her hood back to the windshield. My truck suffered minor bumper damage. No one was injured this time.

The bumper sticker that I would like to find would say “Tailgaters Die First.” What would look good with a  bumper sticker like this would be a car cashing into the rear of a pick-up with the car’s front end crunched in.

If you find one like that, Please let me know.

Thrilled with Dutchman's warranty work

Sirs: I know you don't do warranty reviews, but I just had to tell someone! I had a problem with the wall covering in my Kodiak by Dutchman. I called customer service and filed a warranty claim. I was informed it would be a couple of months before they could get to me, so I waited patiently to be informed as to where to take my unit. Several weeks later I received a call from Dutchman as to where they could pick up my unit! The same day a very nice man came to our residence in Kentucky and took our unit to Indiana for repairs! A few days later I received a call from Dutchman informing me that it would take about two weeks for the needed repairs. The RV was returned last week and Dutchman did a great job with the wall covering repair. They also repaired or replaced several other major items in the RV that had not even been requested! Dutchman went above and beyond what was required to keep this customer happy! —Rick Cranford
